With the COVID-19 Crisis, we continue making important and necessary adjustments to our ongoing service capacities in response to the evolving circumstances.
As essential workers, our commitment is to maximize the efficacy of our services and their delivery. Under present circumstances, we are making every effort, working with case managers and clients, very often creatively, to afford them the best, most effective, and consistent services possible, i.e., in light of current COVID-19 related restrictions on the services we are permitted or able to provide and this crisis' unpredictable developments. In so doing, we are, in fact, expanding and maximizing our capacities to effectively serve clients where they need help the most.
Adjustments/capacities are as follows:
CCG REFERRALS & RELATED PAYMENTS:
When Validus Consulting & Services accepts a client for CCG services, we are agreeing to perform all identified and requested tasks and activities stated in the "Sustainability Goals Summary." This includes making all related payments identified in it.
**Services Requested - "Locate independent Housing, Pay application and related move-in costs and fees, pay for transitional items, and Coordinate move"
**Services Provided - The tasks identified and which the CCG will effectively carryout are 1) locate appropriate independent housing, 2) assist client with all related paperwork, 3) pay for apartment application fees, 4) pay holding fee, first / last / security deposit, 5) Arrange move with movers, 6) make list with client of needed transitional times, gain CM approval, shop / pay for transitional items with or with out the client, 6) ensure transitional items are received by client, and 7) otherwise facilitate to completion the client's safe discharge into his/her apartment.
Validus Consulting & Services now has a small fund from which we are able to make "stand alone" client payments:
EXAMPLE-1: Case managers provide the information. Validus' CCG makes the payment over the phone, over the internet, or thru USPS.
**Service Requested: Pay over-the-phone the client's overdue electric bill.
**Service Provided: CCG called electric company, paid the bill using the information provided by the case manager as requested and mutually agreed, and submitted paperwork for reimbursement.
EXAMPLE-2: Some Payments To-Be-Made Must Be Delivered
**Service Requested: Deliver a check for payment with additional units added for the drive and delivery time.
**Service Provided: CCG delivered check to the identified vendor as requested and agreed, and submitted paperwork for reimbursement.

o Any and All Community Choice Guide work that may be done remotely.
o Searching for Adult Family Homes, Assisted Living Facilities, and independent housing.
o Schedule/Facilitate client virtual tours of independent housing unit and AFHs as possible and appropriate
o Coordinating/arranging/attending scheduled services with third party vendors, e.g., exterminators, movers, contractors, .etc.
o Most face-to-face client services .
Our telephone answering / messaging services are now configured and updated so we may more effectively and timely respond to the current need of clients/case managers under these difficult circumstances.
